jkmeter software package provides horizontal or vertical bargraph audio level meter for Jack Audio Connection Kit, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jkmeter
jkmeter is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jkmeter package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jkmeter *
You will get with jkmeter package name, version, architecture and description in a table
